Are you busy making preparations for your next trip? My Vacation lets you: plan in advance, sort out your photos/videos and capture experiences while they are happening, from one easy-to-use app.

Key Features:

● List-building and note-taking facilities – ideal for planning where to go, what to pack and for storing important information
● Travel journals that include photos, videos, locations, audio recordings and written notes
● Links to useful third-party websites (local weather, tourist information, exchange rates for example)
● Instant photo slideshows with sorting and labelling facilities
● Many ways to share and backup your trip – such as Facebook, Flickr, Dropbox, Email, Blogger, Wordpress and Twitter

"Just Brilliant! - Have just returned from a 2 week holiday, using this for the first time. It is incredibly used friendly and impressive to look through once you have entered all the data. What a great reminder it will be with videos, stills, audio and written journal. So much more fun than bringing home plain pics. Thank you!"

My Vacation has already been downloaded more than 150 000 times and has been voted “The Best App for Sharing Adventures” in O’Reilly’s Best iPhone apps book.

Pros and cons of My Vacation app for iPhone and iPad

My Vacation app good for

I used to send my journals to my Gmail account using the standard iPhone note pad. With this app, collecting information and writing daily journals allows you to produce a tight integrated project, but trying to share can be a pain (not necessarily the developers fault). Trying to email your posts uses the standard iPhone interface, which doesnt add groups (i.e. you have to add them 1 at a time). It also has a built-in server to share over the web, but the interface is pretty basic. However, by emailing your files to Posterous, you get a neat package displayed on a site and Posterous can automatically email all your followers automatically - cool! Suggestion for improvement: also allow the upload of PDFs on tasks. Although you can take a picture of your flight/hotel confirmation, these are usually emailed to you. Would be easier if you could upload a PDF of the confirmation information.
I downloaded this app at the start of a trip and was really happy with how easy it was to use and how neat it put all my info together. It made me look like I spent hours working on a presentation of my trip! I recommend watching the sample first to understand the best way to use it.
Good but I wish there was a way of transfering The sample vaca. To The bought one so i CAN havé that vacation.
Okay... so I admit... I used this for a business trip... but it worked great! Was able to let my co-workers know what I was up to and keep myself organized. Now if I only had a chance to go to Italy or some place where it would REALLY be useful!
All I can say is WOW!!! Very nicely done. Very easy to use. Wherever u Geo tag you can pull up all local info. You can record notes, photos, text. It has a calendar where pictures and video. You cant send video to facebook- not sure why. The filmstrip is so cool. It shows your photos movies it. Love it. !!!
All I suggest is that for those iPod touch users who have video in their PHOTO LIBRARY, we should be able to put those up on the app. Also, change the icon; it looks very fake and like it was done with haste.

Some bad moments

The map seems to recognize only major towns and cities. It wont find small towns and lakes. The only edit function is delete, so if yo make a mistake you have to delete the whole trip and start over. (This app is a good idea but needs work.)
This app is great for documenting your trip with journaling and pictures but it crashes everytime you try to share it by email or facebook. I thought I was going to really love it but not so much
I just used this app for the first time and I dont like it. I journaled a six day trip which proved to be a waste of time.
So few features. Weather is reported in centigrade and cant change it. Difficult to get to the right pages. Just a basic low value app. It should have been free.
This app has potential. Its better than the "Trip Journal" app. But the exported web-based output needs a better UI; it looks like a clunky website from 1994. In addition, photos are not well integrated into the journal entries; It needs more of a travel-guide-like presentation where text can flow around photos. In general, it fails the test of a trip journal; it produces output that doesnt look as good as a bunch of blog posts.
